British Legends RIDE to Return to North America This Fall

After a much welcomed and entirely deserved sold out North American tour this spring, British shoegaze pioneers RIDE has today announced they will be extending their U.S tour this fall, and have added a string of west-coast dates for November.

Starting on September 17th at Washington, D.C's 9:30 Club, this impressive 22-date tour will take them across 18 states and both coasts, as well as Canada, the mid-west and will eventually wrap in Hawaii's The Republik on November 19th. In stark contrast to the band's recently sold-out show -- to a crowd of more than 3,000 people -- at New York City's Terminal 5, the British quartet have decided to change things up and return to the city with two very special and intimate shows for their fans at Irving Plaza onSeptember 21st and 22nd. The original alt-pop stars, and unlike most of their contemporaries who had failed to stretch their fame beyond the British shores, RIDE truly became a global success following the release of their debut album "Nowhere" and went on to have 4 Top 40 Modern Rock singles in the U.S. Their groundbreaking and critically acclaimed 1990 debut -- recently praised by Pitchfork as one of the Top 100 Albums of the 1990s -- is widely considered as the benchmark release of the shoegaze era and will reach a very special 25-year anniversary milestone this October.
