Brent Cobb's will make his network television debut on June 6 with a performance on CONAN. The performance culminates a breakthrough past year for Brent, who was recently nominated for "Emerging Artist of the Year" at the 2017 Americana Honors & Awards. The annual awards show will take place September 13 at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium.
Brent will tour extensively in 2017 including over 35 dates as part of "Chris Stapleton's All-American Road Show" as well as several shows with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill on their 2017 SOUL2SOUL Tour. Additionally, he'll also perform at Newport Folk Festival and Pickathon. See below for complete tour details.
Brent's major label debut album Shine On Rainy Day, is out now on Low Country Sound/ Elektra Records (purchase here). Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, etc.), the album was recorded live over four days in Nashville and has received overwhelming acclaim since it's release last year...
Of the music and working with producer (and cousin) Dave Cobb, Brent comments, "It's not as good as it's going to get. But if it's the last thing that I ever do, if I died the day after it came out, then thank God I was able to record it because the songs and the production, it was everything I wanted to say. Finally."
Dave adds, "I wanted to work with Brent for very selfish reasons. When he lifts a pen and opens his mouth, it sounds like home. I did his record because he's part of the fabric of South Georgia and the soundtrack to my family. Pure rural country soul filled music."
Born in Ellaville, GA (population 1,609), Brent moved to Nashville in 2008 and has since found widespread success as a writer with songs recorded by Lambert ("Old s"), Kenny Chesney ("Don't It"), Luke Bryan ("Tailgate Blues"), David Nail ("Grandpa's Farm"), Kellie Pickler ("Rockaway") and Eli Young Band ("Go Outside and Dance") among others.BRENT COBB CONFIRMED TOUR DATES
