Brandi Carlile makes her Merriam Theater debut in Philadelphia on Friday, October 26 at 8 p.m. Over the last eight years Brandi Carlile has enjoyed groundbreaking success, headlining and selling out major shows and venues across the United States and the rest of the world. Portland-based experimental country - folk band Blitzen Trapper opens Brandi Carlile's show.

Tickets go on sale Friday, August 3 at 10 a.m. at kimmelcenter.org, 215-893-1999, or at the Kimmel Center Box Office located on Broad and Spruce streets, Philadelphia, Pa. (open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., later on performance evenings). Tickets are available for $32 - $46.50, plus applicable service charges.

With several popular albums including The Story, Give Up the Ghost and Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony (which reached No. 14 on the Top Rock Albums chart), Carlile has earned her reputation as a fearless and consummate performer who is undoubtedly in a class of her own with her unique brand of folksy Americana. She has worked her way up from playing acoustic at Medin's Ravioli Station and busking at Pikes Place Market, to fronting her six-piece band at The Ryman Auditorium and leading a symphony at Benaroya Hall.

Kimmel Center, Inc., a charitable, not-for-profit organization, owns, manages, supports and maintains The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, which includes Verizon Hall, Perelman Theater, Innovation Studio and the Merck Arts Education Center.
