Bayside Kickoff Tour Dates for 10th Anniversary of 'The Walking Wounded'

Bayside has announced The Walking Wounded Tour; a series of US headline shows celebrating the 10th anniversary of their 3rd full-length album. Their album The Walking Wounded is out now on Craft Recordings. Originally hailing from Queens, NYC - Bayside formed in the winter of 2000 and quickly developed a following with their melodic, moody, guitar-driven sound. Along with relentless live schedule (touring with artists including Alkaline Trio and Taking Back Sunday), the band utilized community-orientated websites like Friendster and MySpace to promote their music and build up a loyal underground fanbase.
As with many young bands, various lineup changes occurred throughout their early years. In 2004, Anthony Raneri (vocals/guitar) and Jack O'Shea (guitar) were joined by bassist Nick Ghanbarian (ex-Movielife, Silent Majority) and N.Y.C. veteran drummer John "Beatz" Holohan. In the fall of 2005, with their 2nd album completed, the band hit the road with Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein and Aiden on the Never Sleep Again tour. But on the morning of October 31st, their van hit a patch of ice and flipped over on the way to their show in Salt Lake City. Holohan was tragically killed in the accident and Ghanbarian severely injured. Grieving the loss, Bayside cancelled several shows before Raneri and O'Shea decided to honor their friends by pressing on as an acoustic duo. The tour culminated at Chicago's House of Blues, where the band recorded the performance and released a CD/Live DVD called "Acoustic", which included a new track, "Winter," as a tribute to Holohan.Anthony Raneri - Vocals, Guitar
