GeVa Theatre Center, Rochester's leading professional theatre, has been at the cultural heart of the Genesee Valley for over 35 years. The GeVa Theatre Center is located at 75 Woodbury Boulevard, Rochester, NY 14607.

Founded in 1972, Geva attracts over 180,000 patrons annually, including more than 20,000 students. The 552-seat Elaine P. Wilson Mainstage offers a wide variety of shows, from musicals to reinvigorated American and world classics. The Ron & Donna Fielding Nextstage, Geva's engaging 180-seat Second Stage, features fresh Contemporary Theatre and is also home to Geva's new play development programs, the Hornets' Nest series and Geva Comedy Improv.

I'LL BE GENESEEING YOU - 1/4 - 1/30/2011

Famous for their hilarious sketch comedy, and their equally famous alumni (Tina Fey, Steve Carrell, Stephen Colbert and Gilda Radner) Chicago's Second City is writing a show exclusively for Geva all about life in the Flour City (or was that Flower City?)! Can you imagine what might be included? Local icons, current gossip and ancient history will be filtered through the brilliant comedic lens of the Second City ensemble.

OVER THE TAVERN - 2/15 - 3/13

Chet and Ellen Pazinski live in a cramped apartment above their struggling tavern, trying to raise their four teenage children at the end of the Eisenhower era. Playwright Dudzick taps into his own Buffalo childhood with tremendous reservoirs of the heartfelt sentiment and humor that can only come from family.
