Novus has announced that the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) has determined that its chelated trace mineral products MINTREX Zn, MINTREX Cu and MINTREX Mn have met the compliance requirements outlined in the official OMRI Policy Manual and that these products now are listed for use in organic production. All three MINTREX formulations will be added to the OMRI Products List under the General Materials Listing: NOP: Minerals - Feed, Class: Livestock and Feed Ingredients.

"We are thrilled to receive this listing from OMRI for MINTREX," notes Sangeeta Singh, Global Minerals Product Manager for Novus. "The benefits that MINTREX offers to producers are unparalleled. MINTREX is not only exceptional in its ability to optimize nutrition and support animal health and performance, but also in its ability to positively impact the environment."

Novus submitted the application for MINTREX to the OMRI in February and received OMRI listed status in late September. This status applies to use of MINTREX in the U.S. market.

MINTREX is a chelated trace mineral that has an official ingredient definition in the Official Publication of the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO). MINTREX products are produced to ensure compliance with stringent global standards providing safe and high-quality trace mineral solutions. MINTREX also received the 2012 North American Animal Feed Ingredients Product Differentiation Excellence Award.
