BWW Review:  Summer is Salad Season in NYC

Some of our favorite Manhattan restaurants present salads that let guests "go light" for lunch and dinner. Pair one with a glass of sparkling or your favorite beverage and enjoy a fantastic summer meal. Check out our lucky seven choices.

NATSUMI TAPAS (323 3rd Avenue) Their "Spicy Yuzu Shrimp Kani Salad" ($8) with capers, olive and yuzu tobiko is one of a kind.

DIZZY'S COCA-COLA CLUB - JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER (10 Columbus Circle) The "Iceberg Wheel" ($12) with roasted cherry tomatoes, lardons, chervil and Ewes Blue Cheese Dressing is incomparable.

PN WOOD FIRED PIZZA (2 West 28th Street) "Antipasto PN" ($18) has the finest meat and cheeses like Prosciutto di Parma and Ubraico for a great starter, light bite or table share.

FATTY FISH (406 East 64th Street) The "Fatty Fish Salad" ($8) is a wonderful blend of flavors with a kale and arugula medley tossed in yuzu vinaigrette, avocado mandarin orange, grape tomatoes, sliced almonds, shaved parmesan cheese and wasabi sesame seeds. Add-ons like tofu, shrimp and chicken are available.

OCEAN PRIME (123 West 52nd Street) The "Ocean Prime House Salad" ($13) is a refreshing blend of romaine, field greens, Granny Smith apples, goat cheese and walnuts garnished with their tasty Sherry Mustard Vinaigrette.

BAR BACON (836 9th Avenue) "Bacon Caesar Salad" ($14) is a savory delight with bacon, romaine lettuce, herbed croutons, parmesan cheese and Bar Bacon's special house Caesar dressing. Add-ons include chicken, sausage or lobster.

TRES CARNES (2 locations at 688 6th Avenue and 954 Third Avenue) The "City Rancher" ($11.76) is served over chopped romaine and organic baby spinach with fire roasted tomato lime vinaigrette on the side. You have a choice of smoked chicken or pork, topped with chili-lime corn, shredded red cabbage, pickled onions and pico. Guacamole is an add-on.
