Rhys Darby is best known as Murray in HBO's Flight of the Conchords. Darby made his feature film debut in Yes Man with Jim Carrey and then opposite Philip Seymour Hoffman in Richard Curtis' Pirate Radio. He has been featured as one of the DJ's in The Boat that Rocked, and has since completed two lead roles in romantic comedies, Coming and Going, opposite Sasha Alexander (NCIS) and Lovebirds, opposite Golden Globe winner Sally Hawkins. He most recently wrote, executive produced and starred in Short Poppies for TVNZ in his native New Zealand.

Darby's stand-up has been described as a sensational blend of sound effects, characterizations and askew observations. He has performed his unique brand of humor in places as far flung as London and Iceland to the Falkland Islands, and in festivals from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to Montreal's Just for Laughs.

Rhys has two stand-up DVD's, Imagine That!, filmed in Los Angeles in 2008, and It's Rhys Darby Night!, filmed in Auckland in 2010. Darby's debut novel - This Way to Spaceship, "a loosely autobiographical end of world companion" - was released in April 2012.
