Peri Mauer Announces Two Concerts this Month

Peri Mauer has two exciting concerts coming up this month!


February 11, 2017, 8:00PM in Skinner Hall of Music at Vassar College, harpist Ashley Jacksonwill present the revised version of Mauer's flute, harp, marimba trio Pixeliance in her Electric Lady Concert Series. Pixeliance was first performed at a New York Composers Circle in St. Marks Church on February 5, 2012, and Mauerwas excited to have the opportunity to revise it for this prgram. It will be performed by Anna Urrey flute, AshleyJackson harp, and Jared Soldiviero marimba.

Other works on the program include music by Kati Agocs,Kaija Saariaho, Paul Patterson, Danielle Eva Schwob, Jocelyn Marlock, and Carlos Salzedo. Skinner Music Hall is located at 124 Raymond Ave.,Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Metro North will get you there.

February 21, 2017, 7:00PM at Saint Peter's Church (619 Lexington Ave. at 54th St., NY, NY) the world premiere of mystring quartet, Shadow Lake, will be performed by the Klang String Quartet, with Greogr Kitzis and Whitney LaGrange violins,Kim Foster, viola, Kate Dillingham, cello. This performance will be part of the New York Composers Circle New Music ConcertSeries, and this year is a participant in Composers Now Festival going on throughout the month of February.
