good girl/bad part of town will be presented as a part of the inaugural Failsafe Festival.

good girl/bad part of town follows 7 performers playing one central role, a self proclaimed "good girl" in search of her wild side, her hidden self. Through multi-media, spoken word and hip hop pieces, this collection of stories touch on a range of topics including sexuality, duality and re-creation. Audiences will be taken through a series of live performances mixed with video/projections that asks the question "who would we be if no one was watching....and judging?"

Fresh off a successful concert run at New York Musical Festival, Washington, DC bred writer and composer, Star Johnson is excited to be a part of the first Failsafe festival. Star has had work presented at 54 Below, Kennedy Center and Capital Fringe and is the creator of the new musical How to Quit Your Day Job. She is also a current artist in residence at Anacostia Arts Center.
