The Voices of WNY Artists Internet Broadcast 2015 to Feature Original Personalities in Various Media
The Voices of WNY Artist Internet Broadcast is off to a great start with two broadcasts featuring regional personalities in various creative mediums in the Western New York area. In the first show of the 2015 broadcasting season, Broadcast #40 celebrates the fortieth show and a new broadcasting year with an interview with esteemed Buffalo theater journalist, Anthony Chase. In this first show of 2015, Anthony shares how he became a writer for the theater scene, aspects of his life and offers his thoughts on the Buffalo theater scene. On the backhalf of the broadcast, Voices co-host Mark C Lloyd is joined by local poet Fred Whitehead. As part of a three poet interview series presented on The Voices, Fred chats about the writing process, what inspires him to write and the talented writer reads two poems on the broadcast. In Broadcast #41 that celebrates Mardi Gras, the Voices sits with spoken word artist and actor Jimmie Byrd as he shares how he got into both acting and poetry, his thoughts on poetry & poetry slams, recites one of his spoken word pieces, and offers opinion comedy improv and what makes fart jokes funny. Voices co-host Mark C Lloyd finishes his three part interview series with regional poets as he sits with Bruce A McCausland to complete the interview trifecta. Bruce shares how he got into poetry and pottery and also recites three tasty poems for The Voices. This salute to Mardi Gras is complete with some carnival music by Cowboy Mouth, Louis Armstrong, Dash Rip Rock and many others to get the good times a rollin'!
