Going on the sixth-year of revelry, the American Repertory Theater of WNY is celebrating the end of Carnival season as ART/WNY invites all to "Laissez les bon temp roulle" at the Mardi Gras Celebration on Fat Tuesday, February 12th, 7:00 pm to Midnight, Bittner Hall located on 16 Linwood Avenue, Buffalo NY (located in the Church of the Ascension).

Cited by Buffalo Magazine as one of the top 10 WNY winter activities, the evening features readings of the legendary Louisiana book of folk-tales, Gumbo Ya Ya, with tales of Mardi Gras, the working ladies of New Orleans and the Cajuns of the Pelican State. Additionally, the evening festivities include the toe-tapping, quick-witted uplifting 20's-30's jazz sounds of Doctor Jazz and the Jazzbugs, the fais do-do booty movin' music of Black Rock Zydeco and the Americana roots-rock of Dick Whiskey.

ART/WNY wants all to keep in mind that the celebration's "bon moment pour etre avaient" with the evening filled with good folks, good music, heaps of rice & beans, gumbo and Bubba's Hurricanes.

Let the good times roll!
