Downstairs Cabaret Theatre is thrilled to announce a limited return engagement of MARC SALEM with his show MIND OVER ROCHESTER, May 5-15, 2016.

Salem has entertained and baffled Rochester audiences in multiple engagements at the Downstairs Cabaret Theatre over the past several years, and returns to Rochester fresh from an extended run at the Apollo Theatre in Chicago.

A truly funny, thoroughly astonishing display of mind reading and so much more, Marc Salem is a mentalist like you've never experienced. He doesn't bend spoons, hypnotize you, or predict your future. But he can tell you what you're thinking, deduce the serial number on a bill in your wallet, guess the sentence you've picked out of a book... and show you how to tap into the power of your own subconscious. He doesn't have anything up his sleeve except an amazing ability to understand and control the human mind. It's no wonder his engaging and thoroughly entertaining foray into mind and matter has been a jaw-dropper from Broadway to London's West End to Sydney's Opera House.

MIND OVER ROCHESTER features new material never before seen in Rochester. Performances will take place at the Downstairs Cabaret, 20 Windsor Street, downtown Rochester: Thursdays, May 5 and 12 at 7:00pm Fridays, May 6 and 13 at 8:00pm Saturdays, May 7 and 14 at 8:00pm Sundays, May 8 and 15 at 2:00pm.

Marc Salem has been a student of the human mind for over 30 years. As an academic he holds advanced degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and New York University, and has been on faculty of several major universities for close to two decades. He is considered one of the world's foremost authorities on non-verbal communication. How the mind creates reality and meaning has been his major focus. As a researcher, Salem has traveled the globe exploring the mind and its potential. He was a director of research at Sesame Street studying the development and nature of the mental process. As an entertainer, he has performed around the world, astounding and entertaining millions. His show MINDGAMES concluded two extended runs on Broadway to both critical and popular acclaim. The Sydney Opera House, the Edinburgh Festival and Singapore's Esplanade have also hosted extended runs of MINDGAMES. Salem has been featured on the The O'Reilly Factor, Montel, Maury, CNN, and has been a frequent guest on Regis. He has had two network television specials, with more to come. Marc has also completed 3 sell-out seasons in London. He is a regular guest on Court TV, and was also recently profiled on an astounding 60 Minutes by Mike Wallace. Salem has been hailed by critics and audiences around the world.
