Janele Nicole is a busy writer who talks about her first book "TREACHERY" and future projects.

MCL: What section of Buffalo did you grow up at?

JN: I Grew up down the way. 31/Sperry Park area on Emslie St.

MCL: You started writing at an early age. How old?

JN: I started writing when I was 10-11 years old.

MCL: What did you write? Poetry? Stories?

JN: I wrote some poetry. A lot of letters to my mother and prayer notes.

MCL: What were they about at that young age?

JN: I wrote letters to my mother on various topics. I wrote lots prayer notes to God. My grandma always told me there are many ways to talk to God, any form of communication, he'll hear you. My mother passed away from Lupus when I was 6 years old, so this was a way that helped me to cope with her death in a sense.

MCL: When did you know you had to keep writing?

JN: I first knew that I had to keep writing when I attended Villa Maria college. My professor would always compliment my writing style and insisted that if I didn't do anything else, that I should pursue a career in Fashion Journalism.

MCL: What influences you to keep writing?

JN: My readers influence me to keep writing and really, anything inspirational to me influences me to keep writing.

MCL: Please let us know about your first book. The tile?

JN: The title of my first book is "TREACHERY" it's an urban fiction drama and it's available on Amazon and Kindle or directly through myself @Janelenicole@gmail.com.

MCL: How did the idea come?

JN: The idea of me writing a book came from 5 years of working at the Buffalo and Erie county public library. I read many books while I worked, but the urban dramas held my interest. The idea of the book just came from my crazy imagination.

MCL: Was it an easy or tough writing process?

JN: The writing process for this book was fairly easy, but my problem was focus. Once I started writing, i would let my imagination take me to many places. Once I put the pen down, there was some procrastination in picking it back up.

MCL: You have another book coming out soon?

JN: Yes, I'm currently working on Part 2 to Treachery and following Treachery, there will be three stand alone novels that are already pretty close to being finished. Treachery was initially going to be a stand alone, but I have so many more ideas for that book, I'm going to try to keep it at a sequel & not a trilogy. Lol

MCL: Finally ... Promote yourself. What's coming up for you 2016-2017

JN: Oct 1st, I will be attending the UBAWA 3rd Annual book convention in Los Angeles. I will be on the 5th panel for "Upcoming urban authors: the next generation" and in Early 2017 Part Two of Treachery will be released!
