Kent Tritle conducts the 200-voice Oratorio Society of New York in the US premiere of a new critical edition of Johannes Brahmss A German Requiem. Brahms authorities Michael Musgrave and Michael Struck led an international team of scholars to restore Brahmss original intentions for his choral masterpiece, letting the work shine with new light. Soprano Susanna Phillips and baritone Takaoki Onishi join the chorus and the orchestra of the Society.
