Art Lab will present an industry showing of a new musical, Silk, on September 5, 2025, in Cape Cod. Created by Meg Fofonoff, with music and lyrics by Chilina Kennedy and Daniel Edmonds, and a book by Eric Holmes, the production explores the life of Denise, a young woman navigating Parisian society at the turn of the century. As she encounters Octave Mouret, the owner of the first department store, the story intertwines themes of consumerism and sexual politics. The presentation features a talented cast including Bridget Beirne, Ris Bland, Jessica Bloomberg, and Callum Francis.
