Fangirl, an original play by Luna Abréu-Santana and directed by Alexis Elisa Macedo, delves into the life of Jackie Gonzalez, a high school student captivated by the musical TV show Star Thieves. Despite being labeled a "loser," Jackie finds solace in her online community, the "Thieves." However, when her school bully Quinn catfishes her as a new fan, Jackie faces a startling reality when they plan to meet at Comic Con. This play explores themes of identity, friendship, and the complexities of fan culture.
