Moonbox Productions presents the gospel musical Crowns, adapted by Regina Taylor from the book by Michael Cunningham and Craig Marberry. The story follows Yolanda, who, after her brother's death, moves from Brooklyn to the South to live with her relatives, discovering the rich history and identity explored through women and their hats. Directed by Regine Vital and featuring a talented cast, including Mildred Walker, Mirrorajah Metcalfe, and Cheryl Singleton, this musical invites audiences to share in a journey of self-discovery and cultural heritage. Crowns runs from April 11 to May 4, 2025, at Arrow Street Arts in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
