Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater Will Host SECOND ACT: STORIES OF RECOVERY AND RESILIENCE
The free community event features original monologues on the WHAT Julie Harris Stage in Wellfleet, MA
Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater will present Second Act: Stories of Recovery and Resilience on Sunday May 3, 2026 at 3:00 pm on the WHAT Julie Harris Stage, 2357 State Highway Route 6 in Wellfleet MA.
This afternoon of story sharing is the culmination of Second Act, a unique, community-based recovery program, created by recovery coach Dana Demers in collaboration with Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater, that harnesses the transformative power of theater to support individuals healing from substance use disorders.
Working with professional theater artists and certified recovery coaches, Second Act participants learn to share their recovery journeys in an open and supportive setting, while crafting them into monologues or short plays. Every session is a step towards confidence, community, connection and hope. Through sharing these stories publicly, participants aim to reduce stigma, build community, and showcase the power of creativity in recovery.
Tickets for Second Act; Stories of Recovery and Resilience are free and reservations are not required. To learn more about the Second Act program, visit what.org.
