The semi-staged concert version production of The Wiz marks the 2008 debut of NSMT's Screen to Stage program. Directed by Artistic Director and Executive Producer Barry Ivan, Screen to Stage provides a unique look at popular Broadway musicals whose origins are based in some of the silver screen's most beloved films. Inspired by the classic 1939 Academy Award winning film The Wizard of Oz, the 7-time Tony Award winning musical captivated audiences on Broadway when it opened in 1975 with its soaring rock musical score.  This exciting concert format features a full cast on-stage with scripts in-hand and a full orchestra.  Performances for this limited engagement run are September 5, 6 and 7, 2008. Tickets for The Wiz will also be available beginning April 7.

For more information, log on to www.nsmt.org, contact the Box Office at (978) 232-7200, or visit in person at 62 Dunham Road, Beverly, 01915.
