Lainey Dionne, TIME IN A BOTTLE, and DON'T LOOK BACK To Be Presented At Spire Center
The Plymouth, MA venue will also feature Swearingen & Kelli in TIME IN A BOTTLE: SONGS OF THE '70S.
Plymouth's Spire Center has announced three new shows that will go on sale Saturday, May 30 at 6:30am. Rhode Island singer/songwriter Lainey Dionne plays the Lobby Series August 27, Time in a Bottle: Songs of the '70s with Swearingen & Kelli is August 28, and Don't Look Back - The Boston Experience performs September 19.
Lainey Dionne is an indie pop singer/songwriter from the Ocean State, with over 50 nominations & awards for her songwriting, including Songwriter of the Year at the New England Music Awards. Under an Artist Development record deal in Nashville, Lainey wrote with several successful song writers on her debut album Self-Titled. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Lainey has gone on to write for major television networks including MTV, TLC, Bravo, HULU, Netflix, ABC, E!, Disney+, and more. She'll play The Spire Center's Lobby Series, which showcases local and regional musicians in a relaxed and intimate setting August 27.
Time in a Bottle: Songs of the '70s celebrates the legendary artists who shaped a golden era of songwriting, including Jim Croce, Carole King, John Denver, James Taylor, Peter Paul & Mary, Simon & Garfunkel, Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, Neil Young and more. On August 28, led by Nashville-based duo Swearingen & Kelli (AJ Swearingen and Jayne Kelli) along with tenor Jonathan Beedle, will turn The Spire Center into a living room of old friends, sharing music that has a soul. As a duo, Swearingen & Kelli have spent over a decade crafting harmony-rich Americana steeped in the soul of '60s and '70s songwriters. Their most recent album, Build Myself Up From the Ground, earned praise from The Bluegrass Situation, Wide Open Country, and Americana Highways, which noted they sound “as good as John Prine with Bonnie Raitt on ‘Angel From Montgomery.'”
Don't Look Back – The Boston Experience is an incredible recreation of the iconic, legendary rock band, Boston, complete with the looks, costumes, instruments & sound. It's the only show of its kind in the world. With a 90+ minute set of all the best Boston hits, fans at the September 19 show at The Spire Center will experience a “Don't Look Back Show” that will feel like a Boston concert from the 1970's. The band has broken records with shows at full capacity & venues up to 5,000 people across 26 US states including festivals of 15-20 thousand people. Their 3-year run at Disney World has the blessing of Tom Scholz himself.
