The complete schedule has been announced for the eagerly awaited 2014 Summer Season at Theatre By The Sea (TBTS), Rhode Island's historic theatre and home of the best summer musicals. The season will feature Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show, Grease, Mary Poppins and Monty Python's Spamalot. Tickets are on sale now by phone (401-782-8587) and online (www.theatrebythesea.com). The Box Office window will open Sunday, May 4 at 10am for in person sales at 364 Cards Pond Road in Matunuck, RI. Patrons who visit the box office in person on May 4 are encouraged to bring their family to enjoy complimentary light snacks and explore the beautiful seaside grounds and gardens.

"Following the tremendous success of the 2013 season at Theatre By The Sea, audiences have a lot to look forward to in the summer of 2014, including three Theatre By The Sea premieres and the return of one of the most beloved shows from the past," said TBTS owner and producer Bill Hanney. "Working together with Artistic Director Kevin P. Hill, we are putting together a musical season that is a balance of nostalgia, family fun, and outrageous comedy that will bring people back again and again to spend their summer nights with us by the sea!"

The season will kick off with the cool swagger of Sandy Hackett's RAT PACK SHOW playing June 4 through June 22. Experience the timeless charm of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Joey Bishop in this highly entertaining Las Vegas production celebrating 50 years of The Rat Pack. Hear exciting new arrangements of classic songs, a few never-before-heard songs and recordings made exclusively for the show by legendary comedian, Buddy Hackett. The evening's musical numbers include Hello Again, New York, New York, That's Amore, Me and My Shadow, Mack the Knife, That Old Black Magic, My Way, What Kind of Fool and I? and many more.

Get out your leather jackets, pull on your bobby socks as Theatre By The Sea takes a trip to the fabulous fifties with the original rock 'n roll high school musical, GREASE, from June 25 thru July 19. Bad boy Danny and good girl Sandy meet and fall in love in this all-new production featuring the irresistible songs from the Broadway show and hit movie including Grease in the Word, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Summer Nights, We Go Together, Born to Han Jive, There Are Worse Things I Could Do and Hopelessly Devoted To You.

She's practically perfect in every way, and MARY POPPINS will fly over the rooftops of London and on to the stage at Theatre By The Sea from July 23 thru August 16! This magical family musical is the winner of 44 major theatre awards from around the globe! MARY POPPINS has captivated audiences for generations, and now the enchanting story, unforgettable songs and breathtaking production numbers will dazzle and delight theatergoers of all ages. The delightful score includes songs from the beloved Disney film as well as new ones composed for this Broadway spectacular. Songs include: A Spoonful of Sugar, Chim Chim Cher-ee, Anything Can Happen, Feed the Birds, Step In Time, Jolly Holiday, Practically Perfect, and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

The 2014 Season will conclude with Monty Python's SPAMALOT, the outrageous musical comedy lovingly ripped off from the film classic Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Playing from August 20 thru September 7, this Tony Award-Winning Best Musical tells the story of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table as they embark on their quest for the Holy Grail. Flying cows, killer rabbits, taunting Frenchmen and show-stopping musical numbers are just a few of the reasons audiences eat up SPAMALOT! Songs include I'm Not Dead Yet, Spamalot, Find Your Grail, Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life, The Song The Goes like This, and You Won't Succeed on Broadway.

Theatre By The Sea will also continue its popular Children's Festival in 2014. Shows will include A Year with Frog and Toad (July 11), Steve Johnson's Magic Variety Show (July 15), Disney's High School Musical (August 1), Little Red Riding Hood (August 8), and Keith Michael Johnson's Bubbleology (August 15). All shows at 10am & 12 Noon and all tickets are $12.

There will also be a summer camp for kids (ages 10 - 16) who love musical theatre. Parents can register children for Camp Theatre By The Sea, two fun-filled weeks of Theatre Arts education culminating in a full production of Disney's High School Musical. This summer's camp will run July 21 through August 1 and will be taught by RI's own Tom Gleadow.
