EUREKA DAY Cast And Creative Team Set At The Huntington

The The Huntington has announced the cast and creative team for Eureka Day, a satire by Jonathan Spector directed by Margot Bordelon. The production will run May 28 through June 28, 2026 at the Huntington Theatre in Boston.

Following runs on Broadway and in London, Eureka Day centers on a progressive private school community grappling with a mumps outbreak, raising questions about collective values, misinformation, and communication. The play premiered in 2018 at Aurora Theatre Company in Berkeley, later transferring to the West End in 2022. Its Broadway production won the 2025 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play.

Huntington Artistic Director Loretta Greco said the play “is still a chance to laugh at ourselves and at how quickly our best intentions can go awry – but also to ask knotty questions in real time about how to compassionately balance the needs of individuals with the larger needs of the collective within society.”

Playwright Jonathan Spector added, “Eureka Day explores, among other things, the dangers of vaccine misinformation, and the challenge of forming any kind of civil society when people cannot agree on baseline truth.”

Cast

The cast includes Ken Cheeseman as Don, Nancy Lemenager as Suzanne, Eunice Woods as Carina, Sasha Diamond as Meiko, Japhet Balaban as Eli, and Ebonie Marie as Winter. Understudies include Jeff Church, Jihan Haddad, Christine Hamel, and Ebonie Marie.

The creative team includes scenic design by Luciana Stecconi, costume design by Zoë Sundra, lighting design by Cha See, projection design by John Horzen and UptownWorks, and sound design by Daniela Hart, Noel Nichols, Bailey Trierweiler, and UptownWorks. Dramaturgy is by Charles Haugland and Sid Jepsen, with voice and text coaching by Ashleigh Reade, hair and makeup design by Rachel Padula-Shufelt, and stage management by Ashley Pitchford and Lauren J. Burke.
