EAST BOSTON LATIN MUSIC & DANCE FESTIVAL to Return to Memorial Park

The East Boston Latin Music & Dance Festival will return on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at East Boston Memorial Park.

This year’s festival will highlight musical acts by DJ Dante, ¿Porque Puma? (ZUMIX Youth Latin Ensemble), Moab Latin American Rock Ensemble, Una Papayera en Boston, Chico Mania, Efrain Martinez y su Orquesta, La Excelencia and dance performances by VROCC Youth Dancers, BOMBAntillana, SambaViva and Salsa y Control.

“It is a true honor to celebrate the rich, diverse Latin American cultures that help make our city so special,” said Senator Lydia Edwards. “Partnering with local organizations and showcasing incredible talents from across the community is what makes this event one-of-a-kind. On September 13th, we invite families, neighbors, and friends to come together for a day of music, dance, food, and community—free and open to all!”

“It’s been an honor to work with Senator Edwards and many local organizations to produce the 5th annual East Boston Latin Music & Dance Festival. This is an uplifting celebration for everyone in the surrounding area to enjoy,” said Madeleine Steczynski, Co-Founder & Executive Director of ZUMIX. “It highlights the beautiful cultures of our Latin American neighbors, and the spirit of community that is particularly strong in East Boston. Local restaurants will be offering free food for the first hour, so bring lawn chairs, come early, eat, dance, laugh and play - and enjoy the entire day!”

“Music and dance have always been an integral part of the Latin American experience and working with Senator Lydia Edwards and Zumix to host not only one, but two stages showcasing some of the best talent in both art-forms has been an absolute honor,” said Johnny Giraldo, Co-Founder of Salsa y Control Dance Company.

The festival was established to further embrace and uplift East Boston’s Latino community, recognizing its vital contributions to the cultural and social fabric of our neighborhood.
