Capitol Steps Brings 'De-mock-racy' to Worcester

The group that elevated political satire to an art form visits The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2 p.m. The Capitol Steps, a Washington DC-based comedy troupe that began as a group of Senate staffers, will present a show based on songs from their current album "Orange is the New Barack." Tickets are now on sale to theatre members and go on sale to the public Tuesday, October 24 at 10 a.m.

No side is safe from the group that puts the "mock" in democracy! The Capitol Steps have been a Washington, DC institution for over thirty years. Taken together, The Capitol Steps performers have worked in a total of 18 congressional offices and represent 62 years of collective House and Senate staff experience, proving that no matter who holds office, there's never a shortage of material. Since they began, The Capitol Steps have recorded over 35 albums, have been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC and PBS, and can be heard twice a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their "Politics Takes a Holiday" radio specials.
