Barbara Rosenblat will be appearing as Assunta in the Williamstown Theatre Festival's new production of Pulitzer Prize-winner Tennessee Williams' intoxicating comedy THE ROSE TATTOO (June 28-July 17). Obie Award-winner Trip Cullman directs the play, which won the Tony Award for Best Play in 1951. In addition to Marisa Tomei who stars as the grieving widow Serafina and Christopher Abbott as the hot-blooded trucker Alvaro, Rosenblat will be joining her "Orange Is the New Black" costar Constance Shulman. Rosenblat received international recognition for her portrayal of cancer-stricken inmate Miss Rosa, while Shulman plays Yoga Jones on that popular Netflix program.

Rosenblat, who created the role of 'Mrs. Medlock' in the Tony Award-winning musical The Secret Garden, was most recently seen in the two-night-only concert staging of that musical at Lincoln Center's David Geffen Hall.

Barbara's most recent film, the wacky comedy "Lost Cat Corona," in which she costars with Gena Gershon, Ralph Macchio, Tom Wopat and Sean Young, is scheduled for release later this year. Her television credits include "Orange

Is the New Black," "Veep," "Limitless," "Benders," "Gotham," and "Law and Order: SVU."

In addition to being one of the most sought-after audio book voice artists in the country, with over 500 titles and countless awards to her credit, she has recently become involved with animation and video games ("Grand Theft Auto," "Just Cause 3"). To answer the many questions her fans ask, Barbara published her own book on the subject, titled AUDIOBOOK NARRATOR -- The Art of Narrating Audiobooks, available from the Kindle store on Amazon.
