Fuddy Meers by David Lindsay-Abaire, who also wrote Rabbit Hole, is currently in previews at 2nd Story Theatre in Warren, RI. The play, which is the last of the regular theater season, opens on May 15, 2008.
Fuddy Meers is "Cloaked in mystery and wrapped in a tornado...combines humor, a dash of mayhem and a touch of humanity into one wild ride that'll leave you asking, 'Are we there yet?' The 1999 off-Broadway hit is the curiously cock-eyed tale of Claire, an amnesiac, and the search for her true identity with the aid of some outlandish characters, giving a new meaning to the phrase 'extended family.' It's a rollicking funhouse ride filled with dizzying plot twists and over the top humor. Certainly not for the faint of heart," explains press notes.Fuddy Meers premiered at the Manhattan Theatre Club in 1999 before transferring to the Minetta Lane Theatre, off-Broadway, in 2000. The play has received more than two hundred productions in the US, and has been produced internationally in Argentina, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, Taiwan, and in London on the West End.Videos
