It's from a faux-documentary-reality-show-series on YouTube called "The Battery's Down". In the show, the lead character (Jake Wilson) is making his Broadway debut in a fake musical called "Roller Coaster Highway".
I love Will Chase and Andy Karl and Brynn O'Malley and Carly Jibson and Deidre Goodwin and ALL of these Broadway veterans, but THE BATTERY'S DOWN isn't funny, and this video isn't either.
I love America. Just because I think gay dudes should be allowed to adopt kids and we should all have hybrid cars doesn't mean I don't love America.

"Who'd Jake Wilson boink on the BWW staff?" Uncalled for. Good for jake! You may hate the show or love it. I certainly don't think it's perfect, but like it or not, it has a following. And I think BroadwayWorld is no idiot for trying to tap into his market. I would guess most of the TBD fans are probably between 13-17, the demographic most producers would kill to get a piece of. And with BWW drawing in a much older demographic, it's stuff like this that gets the future of Broadway hooked while they're still young.
I am such a 13 year old .. i love this show.. and this feature. If you had the talent pool the UofM kids get for this show why WOULDN'T you want to do something like this?
anything you do let it come from you and it will be new.
I actually really enjoyed this. I'm not sure if it was Broadwayworld or The Battery's Down idea to do but this was very clever. Quite a cute marketing idea for both parties. And Diedre Goodwin cracked me up in this!
