I know this isn't a Broadway theater but has anyone ever seen anything here? They announced that they will play Funny Girl and I am dying to see Funny Girl live. But if has anyone ever seen anything here, how are the productions?
I've always enjoyed it. The food is nothing great but the performances are usually very good and the sets and costumes are usually pretty close to what you would get in the Broadway version.
Generally speaking, the quality of the production is very good. The food is okay. The only complaint I have is about the sound. The space is huge. It's like a three quarter thrust proscenium stage. The thrust comes out pretty far. The sound system has all the qualities of a K-Mart p.a. system.

I agree with you and I am not sure about funny girl if they have done that before. The last show I have seen was beauty and beast there this past summer and loved the show...the children were quite throughout the show. I have lots of shows there and was impressed by all except for a xmas show which i almost slept through. My family gets seats that are two to four rows from the stage. The only show i want to see this season would be 42nd street. They need to bring at least two shows with children cast next season.
yeah - Definitely the latter. I, myself, called the venue 'home' for 3 years. Thanks to the now-defunct Young Artists Repertory Company. SUPERSTAR, SIDE SHOW, FOOTLOOSE and ZOMBIE PROM were my credits. Performance-wise, I think I did some great work, but the working relationship imploded. Oh, to be young and stupid.
Mike, I had not seen the youth productions, so, please don't take my opinion as a personal attack on your performances or the shows you were involved with.
I was speaking of the main-stage shows; for me, they just don't work. The casting was awful, the sound terrible, the food disgusting. I'm not saying I'm right, these are just my thoughts on it.
