My local PBS station repeated a great performances showing of "Primo." I kept it on my TiVo for several months, but I finally had a chance to watch it today. What an amazing production and fabulous performance Antony Sher... It was heartbreaking and engaging. I don't think I've ever seen a one person show live, but this definitely makes me want to see one in the future.
Did anyone see this on Broadway?
So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?
