We are on a budget and plan to do lotteries. The two nights we can see shows on are Thurs, June 26th and Fri, June 27th....we aren't students, so we have to do general lotteries.

Possibilites include Hairspray, Avenue Q, and In The Heights right now. We are looking for musicals. Are there any other ones that have regular lotteries that we'd have a decent chance of winning? It has to be something that we can show up at 5 or 5:30pm (not 8am). We've already seen Wicked, Little Mermaid, Young Frankenstein, Mamma Mia, and Mary Poppins.

Not sure how Rent has been lately...but that's the other one that has a lottery.

Especially for a Thursday, you might still be able to get rush for Sunday In The Park With George that late. Also, unless it's changed, Hairspray is at 7 on Thursday...so lottery would be 4-4:30 that night.

It's something I forget too and then I show up for the lottery and they're like "It's done." LOL. SOOOO confusing.

I strongly suggest IN THE HEIGHTS and XANADU ! In the Heights has lottery and Xanadu super-cheap on-stage seats ! They are both Brilliant !!!

Curstins doesn't have rush, but they do have 50% off "partial view" seats available day-of. I've gone as late as 6:30 and gotten the ones in the dead center of the front row ~ you're only a tiny bit blocked by the conductor a time or two. When those 3 seats are gone, the also do the front row sides...never sat there so I don't know how partial that view is. But if you can get the center ones it's totally worth it.
