This is looking great! I think the Awards section needs work though. Unless I'm missing something, it only lists nomination categories but not what award it was unless you click for more info. It's very hard to read. And I know with such a large database it would be difficult to list the entire production staff, but I was disappointed to see you've listed the entire orchestra, but none of the backstage staff. The dream would be to give credit to everyone, but even just the supervisors would be nice.
Dreams do come true! If a member submits extra information to the database how long until you update the info? Thanks x
A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!''
Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'
Submissions will be updated as quickly as possible. As you might assume, things are a little slower at first, due to the launch.
Thank you to the folks who have already submitted information!
There was a tech issue with some of the names not displaying their associated credits, but this should be resolved now. Let me know if you notice this again.
Very ambitious of you! I look forward to seeing the finished product. It will be great though to be able to see what is going on around the World and to be to look up shows by type.
An easy way to find older shows to, will be very helpful. I already love how all of you go the extra mile to give us exclusive interviews and video of major events. So I have complete faith this will be great too! Thanks for putting in all of the work for us.
1) One thing that made FlyRope easy to read, was "Full Cast and Staff" was limited to the opening night cast. From there you had to click on either the character or actor's name (I forget which), to view the replacements. As it stands now, it is very overwhelming.
2) Easier forms for information adding. As it stands now, it's all paragraph forms. If you make it more of a form depending on what info is being added/corrected, the input will be easier.
3) If you can do it, a wiki-format might also be better, that way the users can add the information.
The banner on top keeps blocking parts of the submission box.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
One suggestion: it's not easy to find synopses for all different musicals/plays. A full synopsis for any musical would be a very good idea (as well as a tagline [a sentence that tells someone who reads it what the show is about, but not how the whole show goes]).
"Y'know, I think Bertolt Brecht was rolling in his grave."
