Is it common for the Playwrite or a director to kiss the stage for good luck at the start of the run of their show, as Terence McNally did when he kissed the stage of the Suzanne Roberts Stage in Philly?
I wish I had worded the title differently, traditionally or ritually would have made a better dialog. Like what kinds of rituals do people do before they go on stage? Oh well.
Its much more common for the director to kiss the ingenue when they are alone and no one else can hear him promise her a role in his next show if only she would just....

I hear in spring awakening they have good luck circle jerk prior to the show starting.
