I haven't killed an insect, arachnid, amphibian, or anything else in about five years. And I feel horrible now.

Wrong answer.

If it was inside, all you needed to do was relocate it. And if it was outside, it was helping.

Work on the rage - the living world would appreciate it.

wait-- "Killed a Lizard" means killed a lizard? I thought it was a euphemism like "Yodeling in the gully" or "Climbing the sticky tree."

LOL! Yodeling in the gully?

"Do you eat meat? 'Cause if you do I wouldn't feel to bad."

This ridiculous statement would only have any relevance if he had eaten the lizard. Your empathy is misplaced - and sorely lacking whatever humor you were trying to create.

Why would you kill an innocent lizard? That's awful!

A few months ago, I had a lizard (a gecko) on the windscreen of my car. I didn't see it until I was on the freeway, as it was hidden by the wipers. It crept up as I was doing about 110km an hour, and was doing a good job of holding on. I wanted to stop to let it off, but the traffic was too much, and I couldn't get off the freeway. The poor thing survived about 10km, and then flew off...I felt terrible!!!

ah! too bad. i was hoping you'd knocked off the Geico Gecko!

did a little research (always)
... i'd thought that the cloying, annoying green character's voice was that of Jemaine Clement (of Outback Steakhouse fame), but the faux lizard's accent is actually working class Brit (Lombardo, according to the wiki), and his voice belongs to a guy named Jake Wood. Wood is best known for... actually, for the car insurance commercials, but also for playing Jimmy Dobbs in the film, "Doc Martin and the Legend of the Cloutie."

What's a Cloutie? (you don't have to tell me; i'll look it up...)

What possessed you to kill it? Because it was staring at you?
Cruel, what is wrong with you? And the fact that you posted it on here says a lot about your need for attention.

"I haven't killed an insect, arachnid, amphibian, or anything else in about five years. And I feel horrible now."

This cannot be possible. If you've walked outside in the last 5 years, I'm 99.99% sure you've killed some sort of insect/ant. (Perhaps unknowingly)

I do agree that "Killing the Lizard" is an important step in a relationship and shouldn't be done lightly, without a caring, stable bond in place.

I saved a baby copperhead by gently nudging his venomous head back toward the drainage ditch and out of traffic just around dark last night.

Perhaps this can make up for the death of the lizard?

or not.

I almost stepped on a copperhead the other day, while wearign flip-flops in my back yard. I was about to put my foot down, saw it, and turned and walked away.

his little tiny head could never have pierced my GIANT RUNNING SAUCONYS. and he wasn't coiled to strike, so my ankles were safe.
