So.. what did you all think of there performance on Letterman. They looked and sounded sooo nervous. But can you blame them?? Some real bad notes were hit.. I'm rooting for them on the View tomorrow!!

Yeah, he did. He always seems to be so on with his vocals.

As I said in the other thread re: that really awful note: I suspected Wright, since he was right on the camera (on the floor). But when Gideon Glick sang, he sounded off.

NO ONE CREATED A THREAD TO REMIND US!!!

Thank God for the site that can't be mentioned.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Agree. As I said in another post, Wright and Glick were def. off most of their solo lines. And the harmonies were off. But it is not just the Letterman show. Some of the boys have been off in the theatre as well.

They sang "Bitch of Living".

sfs, I totally agree. From the moment JG fumbled a little taking out his mic, I thought, oh my, they are nervous.

It was fine, not a disaster, but to be honest, if I didn't already know the show, I don't know if this appearance would excite me very much.

I also agree about Wright and Gideon being off. I still found it enjoyable though.

It was fun to watch them bounce around in a totally different space. I thought a couple of them were going to plow into the band!

I think it was def. enough to spark more interest in the show.

The sight of a nervous John Gallagher Jr. just excites me more.

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one to hear that terrible note (or two or three).

The only one who didn't look nervous or a tad out of his element was Groff.

I did like how they directed it to include the individual camera angles, close-ups, etc.

I felt so bad for Brian Johnson when they did one of his close ups. He looked horrified. Sweating and shaking. But he sounded the best tonight by far!

Groff doesn't have to start out the song, though. Who knows if he'd have been a mess if he didn't have time to build from the rest of the boys.

Although, he has that sociopathic glint to his eyes, so I wouldn't be surprised if he has no nerves.

Groff didn't look phased - as you'd expect.

Brian Johnson didn't seem terribly nervous. Is vocals were steady, though.

Why didn't they introduce Duncan?

I thought it odd that Travolta didn't mention Hairspray, even when they were talking about unusual costumes. And that shark-attack guy was ...odd...I think that was another case of nerves (I hope he doesn't talk like that in real life).

i saw a beard in the back, thought it might be duncan!

yes, they were nervous, and occasionally off, but i was just so excited to see these kids make it to national television. perhaps the studio sound mix was off? they're probably so used to doing it in the theatre only.

i have to say though, the survival story owned the show. best line.
