2 new songs have been put up on his myspace. The rest will appear on the media section of his webpage later this week. They both sound quite good.

The two songs are:
"I'm A Star" sung by Marla Mindelle
"Now" sung by Jonathan Groff

thanks for letting us know...Groff sounds great and it's good to hear him singing something else (not that i'd ever get tired of listening to Spring)

I agree. His voice sounds much softer. Is it just me or does that song sound very L5Y?

He is also going to start selling sheet music through his website (according to his journal). Never Never Land is the first one that he is selling, along with a few others. He said Home wouldn't be available right now.

Thanks so much for letting us know about the new songs! I am so jazzed.

"Dont look at me that way Your ears and your eyes Got used to the lies But you're getting the truth today"

"Ah the city. So many lights you can actually pretend one of them is shining on you."

CLIFF: "There was a cabaret and there was a master of ceremonies and there was a city called Berlin in a country called Germany - and it was the end of the world and I was dancing with Sally Bowles - and we were both fast asleep"

Wait? There are young composers writing for musical theatre? I'm very pleased. I love Scott's work.

oy jesus...
yes, it does sound like THE LAST FIVE YEARS...
marla mindelle and jonathan groff are both fantastic singers, but i wish they had material that wasn't a blatant attempted imitation of jason robert brown, william finn, or the two faux internet "hits" scott alan already wrote. anybody?

Another eight tracks have just been uploaded in addition to these two, including a truly stunning rendition of "The Dance", by Lauren Kennedy!

ummmm I'm def addicted to Now... and it made me realize why I find jon's voice so gorgeous and hot re: Scott Alan put up new music its like a cross between Gavin Creel and Norbert Leo Butz! and thats amazing. Because Gavin and Norbert have some of the most orgasmically gorgeous voices I've ever heard. And so does Jon :P its smooth as butter and it makes me melt <3 Oh and he has incredible emotion in his voice! again, another thing both Gavin and Norbert also have oodles of.

(and it IS a very last 5 years-esque song. VERY. Which makes me really really want to hear him sing If I Didn't Believe in You now *g* or Schmuel! omg! hehe)

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.
