I'll be there at the 9:30 performance. Who else is coming? YAY SUTT! I miss that girl. She's been away for way too long!

I watched the first hour of the Golden Globes, then hauled ass downtown to see Sutton. She delivered a lovely hour of music and entertainment. She's definitely my favorite Broadway performer. And she closed the evening with "Gimme, Gimme". However, I must say I was disappointed that she didn't sing her supposed showstopper from The Drowsy Chaperone. Updated On: 1/17/06 at 12:16 AM
ive been away for a few days so im totally out of the loop...what is this that you guys went to tonight?? is this the thing where her and christian are doing some sort of reading weekly-- i thought that was in feb....
I was lost 'til I heard the drums, then I found my way
last night was a great time! it was wonderful to see her back in ny!
sutton is by far my favorite performer, and to see her in a super small venue like joe's pub is really fun. she did a few songs that she had done at lincoln center along with "up on the roof", "sunshine on my shoulder" and of course, "gimmie gimmie", which was fabulous (of course)!
i'm sorry i didn't keep a song list so i could give a better and more detailed review, but i sat in awe for the entire hour!
i really hope "the drowsy chaperone" finds a home soon! i can't wait to see her back on broadway Updated On: 1/17/06 at 10:37 AM
It was a wonderful show and happily she was joined by Megan McGuiness (from Little Woman) and ,as she put it , her luvah , Cristian Borle . I don't think she repeated any material from the American Songbook show ,except ending with Gimme ,Gimme. I loved the tribute to her hamster.Danglin' was another lovely number.Great evening.
i didn't get to see her "american songbook" show, but i listened to a recording and i think that "my romance" (or "danglin'", i don't know the official name), "puppy on the rails" and "on my way" (along with "gimmie gimmie") were all done at that concert as well.
Her concert was amazing. I got to talk with her after which was really cool. And sadly Drowsy Chaperone is not officially transfering yet. They are still in the works of trying to get it to transfer. Therefore it will probably not make it for this season.
On an up beat. I asked her whether or not the rumors were true that she was going to have a solo cd. And she confirmed that the deal was just finalized that she is going to come out with an album. WHich is awesome!

Words cannot describe that girl. I ADORE HER! We had the perfect seats. We were sitting directly next to Hunter and Jennifer, facing the stage. So as I watched the brilliance that is Sutton, I got to view her brother and sister in-law's reactions. She is so freakin' funny! I love her so much. And Christian is a crack-up! That song about their hamster was so hysterical. I was at the 9:30 performance by the way. The audience was chatting it up in the Public lobby with Sutton, Hunter and Jen afterward. What a blast!

I was at the 9:30 show and absolutely loved it. Some of my favorite numbers were "sunshine on my shoulders", "up on the roof", "puppy on the rail" and the tribute to Hawaii she did with Christian and Megan (don't know the name). The whole show was just wonderful. After the show I got to chat with her and Christian and she was so sweet. I am so happy to hear she has a cd coming out, I can't wait.
She and Christian should do their own musical comedy cabaret show. They are so adorable and both so funny. Her luvva... hehe.

I was at the 7:30 show with UMGeoboy. We had so much fun. She was incredible. What always gets me about Sutton is that she always looks like everything she sings and belts is so effortless. She was amazing.
