Which replacements for Nathan Lane have you seen in The Producers and how do they stack up to Nathan? How is the current Max? Did they all basically give carbon copies of Lane's performance?

I've seen Brad Oscar and Jason Alexander playing Bialystock. They were both just as good as him, giving their own spin to the role. During the "Intermission" line, Jason said "Eh, he's not as good as Nathan Lane."

Not a replacement, but I saw Bob Amaral on tour... it seemed to me like it was Amaral playing Nathan Lane as Max Bialystock. Granted, that may be the role, but that's what it was. And yes, I did see Nathan in the role.
