Do you have any information on this film? Is it a contemporized version? I read somewhere that it's about dating challenged teenagers that get thrust into the fairytale by a spell.
I think Chenoweth does singing,but Reese Witherspoon does Rapunzel's speaking voice.

that's so stupid, why can't they let cheno be the speaking voice also? I mean I know Witherspoon has the bigger name but seriously who is going to care? the age bracket that this movie is gearing for isn't going to have any idea who Witherspoon or Chenoweth is. Let the person with the pipes do it!

I might be confused because i think reese's characters' name is Claire so maybe they play two different characters

i think they play two different characters. there was an interview in which Cheno said that she plays a squirrel who falls in love with a basset hound? I have NO idea what that means.

I believe Chenoweth is doing both the singing AND the speaking for the title role. Reese is playing the part of Rapunzel's best friend or something to that nature.

The "UNBRAIDED" part makes me think this version will have a totally different spin. It will probably be feminist and hysterical. I love Dan as the prince.

I came across sketches in which the characters look contempoary. I think it is before witch casts them into story. Character really looks like Dan---not Barfee. They are hysterical. I do not know how to cut and paste them on this site---I don't know the original website so I can't send you there.

Disney has done away with hand-drawn animation...there was a big to-do about it a while back. All future projects will be computer animated...unless, of course, someone changes their mind now what Eisner is out.
