Sorry pab for the thread - - it would seem like the chances of new
people who join in will ask some of the same questions, however I will
keep my original enthusiasm !

A Chorus Line.

Loved the dancing. Too young for most of the storylines. We still laugh about it: "Psst. Mom. What's gonorrhea?" Her reply: "Be quiet and watch the show."

Fiddler on the Roof. I was supposed to be Chicago but we got discount tickets and ended up singing Fiddler on the Roof our first night in New York.

Well, if you mean Broadway show, tour or in New York, then it was Peter Pan with Sandy Duncan when it played Chicago(I was really really young and don't remember it too much). The first show I saw ON Broadway was the revival of Oklahoma! with Patrick Wilson. It was at TKTS, and to be honest, I didn't think I'd like it, but I loved it.

the first b'way show i ever saw was BRIGADOON when i was 6. it was at the local high school and my brother was the leader of the clan and had 2 lines. i was enthralled. i loved it. to this day it is some of my favorite music.

Thanks for starting this Kooky. I am new and haven't seen a similar post...can't seem to get past 3 or 4 pages of threads.

My first show on Broadway was Amadeus, in 1981. My first broadway touring show was A Chorus Line in the mid 70s. It was the first professional production I had seen. I will never forget how moved I was and the tremendous impact it had on me.
