YAY!!!!!! I've mentioned this before, but I did a production of "Evita" with Felicia Finley, this August at the Ogunquit in Maine. She was FANTASTIC and SO GRACIOUS!! I was one of six "locals" (I was considered a local even though I'm from Mass, not Maine) in the cast...everyone else was hired through a casting company in NYC. Oh gosh, she was fabulous and I'm dying to see her in the Helen Hayes production. She's awesome! A side note, when Evita ended, I did one of the Ogunquit's children's shows, Pinocchio, and since I was the lead in that show, I got to have the "Star dressing room" which had just belonged to Felicia Finley! It was good times :-p

possibly, but since she is a belter, give her something to show off her voice and range!
She nearly was Belle but and I'm sure you can believe it, she was considered too sexy and dynamic as Beauty..let's face it the girl is Jessica Rabbit if she's any Disney character! The folks at The Walt Disney company do love her so I'm sure we'll see her in something soon.....as for EVITA I'll be there Friday night, ya hear that Fee?! Sheek's a comin'.....

Felicia Finley gve an unforgettable performance. the note she hit and kept on hitting during New Argentina were thrilling. She handled the tough score with honesty and care and her voice has never been better... I really liked the humor she brought to the show and her moments of rage were forceful and real. The usually staid Helen Hayes gave her a standing ovation and for ONCE a performer and production deserved it! Afterward she had a bunch of friends waiting to take her back to the city but took the time to sign my Playbill and chat, she remembered my family from when we saw AIDA and was so down to earth. What a talent!

Awww, really?! I'm from Mass, and about 2.5 hours from the theater, but I went to school at UNH for a year and did a lot of stuff at Seacoast Rep and the casting director at Seacoast Rep also casts for Ogunquit, so she pulled a bunch of us from SRT to do Evita and Annie. Its a nice theater, for an old barn, lol...and there was free Coke in the green room all the time. Not too shabby. I've said it before but I'll say it again - Felicia Finley was aaaaamaaaayzing in that role!

Sparkle...PM me! Where in MA are you from? I grew up in MA, and I have a beach house in Ogunquit, but I missed Felicia this past summer! I was so pissed when I learned I missed her...
And anyone from New England is considered a "local" in any other state, LOL... haha... at least in MA, NH, and ME! :)
NewYorkUniq...... my hometown is an hour from Ogunquit!!! We were prolly neighbors??? LOL! That's so weird... what a small world.

I know it is a small world. A few weeks ago I was at a show I was going to audition for the next week and randomly started talking to the girl in front of me, who I found out was also auditioning, went to the same college I did last year and was from Maine. It was tooo weird.

Daisy - I'll PM you! :)
And a "small world" story...when I went to the Hairspray open call in NY, I was talking to the girl in front of me and we started talking about schools...turned out she went to UNH and was a sophomore! I went to UNH for my freshman year. Neither of us did any UNH Theater but loved doing it on the outside.
And NYuniq- I've never been to Maine State Musical Theater but I have heard TONS about it!! I think a couple of people from Seacoast Rep worked there.
