1) Don't arrive so laden with Playbills and CDs that you look like an Ebay Power Seller.

2) Things NOT to say to the stars:

a) "Is that your REAL hair?"

b) "I loved you in that even though you lost the Tony!"

c) "Gee, you're really TINY in person!"

d) "Who are you?"

e) "Where's your SISTER?"

f) "Hello, I'm Michael Reidel."

f) "I thought you were great, but my boyfriend/girlfriend thought you stunk!"

g) "Hey, don't I know you from (insert name of really seedy bar, sauna or adult movie house here)?"

h) "I worship you. I love you more than life itself. I grovel at your feet, I would rip my heart to shreds if it would give you pleasure." The only celebrity to whom this is an acceptable and appropriate greeting is Chita Rivera. No exceptions.

3) It's usually not a good idea to proposition stars. But, hey, depending on the star and how cute you are, you may get lucky.

4) Asking a star to baptise your child, make the sign of the cross over a script you hope to sell or to bless your new puppy or rosary is strongly discouraged.

He's this hideous Niles Crane wannabe who writes for a tabloid in New York City. A tabloid! He takes oppositional stances against performers and productions, and therefore gets "recognition." (And by oppositional, I include taking a positive stance against performers or productions that are generating negative buzz.) He's going to do this for years and years and will be pleased that people mention him at all, whether in a postive or negative light.

He's kinda an effete little persnickety flibbertygibbit, and even though I was a teenage homo, I'm sure I woulda wanted to shove HIM into lockers in high school.

I think Ricky Paul Golden is just as deserving as Chita to hear #7...

This was so good I had to re post it.
Namo, you nailed Reidel! He's more desperate for fame than just about anyone in the entertainment field.
He also has NO taste, whatsoever.

Last year, there were the tons of people who had nine million things for people to sign, including files and binders full of stuff and three or four briefcases, and it took them forever to get through the line...Even though we were told that we could only have two things signed per celeb, I only had one itm signed, (my Gypsy Robe), except for a select few...The same will apply this year...
I will follow by the rules...lol...And yes, Chita is deserving of all praise...

I had a dream... I dreamed it for you June... It wasn't for me Herbie... And if it wasn't for me, then where would you be, Miss. Gypsy Rose Lee?

I agree, I am only bringing things for a few people to sign, I want the poster signed also but there are about a 5 or 6 people where I am bringing specific things for them to sign, hopefully getting them to personalize it. I'm sorry, I can't stand when people bring a million things to get signed just to go and sell it on Ebay.

Well, I hope ya'll will be online tomorrow to tell those of us not lucky enough to be there how things went and what you brought home.

I wish I could see the DOTV stuff but I guess I wouldn't be able to afford it either.

Sigh, what the eyes don't see won't hurt the heart but I'd still like to look.

Since quite a few heterosexual men will be in attendance (some wearing baseball caps, no less!), I think it's important to remind them that it's impolite to burp in a celebrity's face or even to flatulate in public. This is not considered accepatable behavior.

DP, if we are on the subject of str8 men being there, tell both of them not to scratch themself or stare at the chests of chorus girls. Updated On: 9/20/03 at 07:26 PM

How very, very true. You know, since Jai Rodriquez won't be there, I feel every gay man in attendance has a duty to correct the bestial behavior that is chracter istic of so many breeders. A QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY knows no boundaries. Don't you agree?

Very true.. to paraphrase carson, all gay men experience Straight Eye For The Queer Guy when we go through high school. Turning the tables is only fair.
Also, on somewhat of a similar subject, should one see any breeder PDAs, please ask them to stop and not throw in our face. After all, they have a habit of practically fornicating on a public sidewalk, but if I experience a chaste kiss, they tell me not to throw it on their face and flaunt it. Fair is fair.
However, since this is a Brodway event, we shouldn't have to worry too much.
