Caught her performance on Bway on Bway. She is soooo cute, and what a cute voice. Her opening notes to "Good Morning Baltimoer" had me giggling right off the bat. Adorable!

I have seen both I saw Marisa 2 times and Kathy once so far. Side note that pic. is in front of the theater where Marissa's was next to Harvey as Edna.
A lot of people say that they like Kathy better. I didn't find that the case in my opinion Marissa played the character a little cuter. Some of the jokes that Marissa pulled off really well Kathy seems to run right through. I feel Kathy has a stronger sing voice then Marissa in a sense that she isn't as squeaky as Marissa was (not bad squeak) I don't know how to explain it. I like the was Marissa sang the songs because she came off to me as a young kid like Tracy is. But Kathy has a little different style that works for her. Now I'm not saying Kathy is bad because that is very far from the truth She was great. She's just different then Marissa also not a bad thing because she make Tracy her own. So for someone who has seen Marissa and kind of set her as Tracy in her mind it's a little had for me to lose get use to new cast members. But Kathy is really good she has a different kind of cuteness to her. I can't wait to see The show aging in a few weeks :).

I didn't say I liked one better then the other I just stated that I didn't have the popular opining of Kathy being better I like them both for different reasons. when I saw Kathy the frist time it did take me a little to get use to her because I have Marissa's tracy in my head. But I still think Kathy is great!!

Kathy Brier is absolutely brilliant in her role. When I saw Hairspray, she couldn't have been better. She could sing, dance and her acting and comedic timing was absoltutely perfect. I loved her. I preferred her singing to Winokur's but I didnt see her perform, so I can't compare.
