Am I on glue or does this one look pretty decent?

The idea sounds good, but I don't know how the movie will be.

Is it me, or there a lot of movies with one-word titles? Cellular...uh, Paparazzi...and some others? I don't know. Lots of one-word titles that are thrillers.

The taglines are horrendous.

If the phone dies, so does she!

So, spooky? I'm afraid not. It's corny in the absolute worst sense. I want to see the movie though. The previews look intriguing, even if the taglines are less than.

I can get to Kevin Bacon easily if you count stage shows as well.

I suddenly feel incredibly unknowledgeable...

As for the movie, I think it looks okay. I like Kim Basinger, so we'll see if I like her in this. Sure, the taglines have practically been taken from the cornfields, but hey, don't judge a movie by it's tagline. Unless it's "From Justin To Kelly", "Gigli", or "Crossroads"

I know I'll be seeing it.

To bring this back on topic, I happen to think that Cellular actually has a lot of potential to be edge of the seat stuff. The trailer looked very exciting, but yes, whoever came up with that tagline should be shot.

Looks like a pretty decent film. I'll go see it. Kim is usually pretty good when playing the victim.

I really don't rate her as an actress, I have to say, but I am always willing to give her a chance. And there's only one "s" in Basinger, Mr_G.

just bumping this back up to the top because I saw it today and well, Matt, you're on glue. It was terrible.

Kim Basinger was under the impression she was in some huge Oscar worthy epic and her performance was painfully earnest when it really shouldn't have been. God knows, nobody else's was. Jason Statham should have his SAG card revoked. Chris Evans was average and William H Macy did seem to be looking off camera for his pay cheque quite a lot.

And then the writers of Strange Days should sue. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that film about a bunch of dirty cops being caught on film killing a suspect and tracking down the people who saw them do it? It is. And while the eventual revelation in Cellular may not be a "lightening bolt from God", it's really awfully similar. So bad in so many ways.

Didn't the writer of that movie also write Phone Booth? I'm sensing a pattern here. What's next, the travails of a telemarketer?

Gee, Pop. You might not want to post spoilers without saying the word "SPOILER". Not really fair to others who haven't seen it yet.
