"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

sorry to drag up the old thread again but i saw tour one last weekend in chicago and well here is what me thought :)
the cast was really in good shape ... Bill and Harry were absolutely hilarious. Sam was a bit old and kind of monotone and emotionless at times. Rosie and Tanya were great too. They blended real well and had some real funny moments. Donna was okay ... Gabby was good but not as good as the other Donnas (Louise, Tina, Monique) Chilena (sophie) was really cute and she really got into her part and showed a whole emotion filled side of sophie. The sidekicks of sky/sophie were really good and the pepper was really acrobatic so DYMK was great :) The ensemble was strong and very good dancers.
So yeah the cast was really good and Amneris I will send some love to our friend in Detroit when I see that cast again :) ps he doesnt join til then so i have to wait ... soo tragic :)
