Yes, please! I'm so curious to know how she was! The NY Post was talking about how Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio had so many injuries from the show, and at her curtain call speech she held up her arm and said, "This isn't the one I started with." hee hee! But, yeah, someone post!
I love mary Elizabeth's story about a dancer falling off of the set and landing on her face, giving her a black eye, and the whole cast giving her double-takes the entire night after. She finished the show though!
I know MEM got cut on the sharp set during the DC engagement and as the understudy wasn't ready, they patched her up and sent her back out to finish the show.
I KNEW that set was deadly when I saw it! There is NO railing on the open steps of the tower ( even a rope would help) plus all the platforms and gak. Hi Ho for the glamourous life!!! LOL
Saw her last night, her voice is absolutely wonderful. She needs to work a little on her acting. I have seen the show over 10 times now, it was like a new show with her in it.

life and consider how it should be lived"
As far as the acting goes, replacement rehearsals are short, and to the point, and the first week of perfromances for a newbie is like grabbing on to a speeding train and trying to fight your way into before it reaches the tunnel. She just needs a week to settle in and feel comfortable.
We saw her Weds night. Her voice (as always) was amazing, and she is a joy to the eyes. I think her passion in the role has to grow a bit, but I think that we will come in time. Last night was our 15th time seeing this production, and I remember seeing MEM early on and I felt the same way. But along the way, she just got better and better !! Marin's "Aldonza" was very well sung, but not passionate enough, but its still early. My guess is that when she starts feeling more comfortable in the role, she will own it !!! Very gracious after the show signing autographs and alowing photos.
