Posted: 7/1/03 at 4:47pmIs she still in the show? She's not in the cast list on the Hairspray official website. If they replced Kerry with Ms. Gambatese, I would be very happy, because she's awesome.

Posted: 7/1/03 at 6:01pmshe either just came back or will be back within a week or two. the current Brenda, Alli Mauzey, is going on tour. The cast list on the oficial site, it seems, is not updated to often and is actually a bit out of date.. Kathy Brier has been with the show for months and she isn't on the offical site cast list.

Posted: 7/1/03 at 6:14pm...if will be back in July, I wuld ASSUME it would be when the new batch of cast members come -- easier to rehearse them all at once.. even if it is just a refresher for her.

She was adorable in A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD. Did anyone else see this cute little gem?
And if not, don't judge the show by what you saw on the Tonys. It amazes me that the powers-that-be chose the only number that WOULDN'T transfer well on the Radio City stage.
If you like clever melodies with nice, tight harmonies -- not to mention wit, then buy the CD! Do yourself a favor.
I do know that is hard to find. I got mine at the Tower Records near Lincoln Center and paid $20. www.footlight.com has it for $17.
The only thing is ... Jennifer Gambatese is the only Broadway cast member NOT on the CD. On the flipside ... Kate Reinders shines in the role.

She's not on the CD? why? And Kate Reinders was in Hairspray? Since when? She looks like she's great in Gypsy.

Posted: 7/1/03 at 7:00pmNo, the CD was recorded after Minneapolis, when Kate Reinders was with the show. When the decided to open F&T on Bway, Kate had already signed to do Gypsy, so Jenn Gambatese go the role and had to leave hairspray to do it.
