"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Debra Sue in Bye Bye Birdie, my first and breakout role. 3 lines, backup singing, and screaming. Nothing can compare to that!

Annie in Annie.

And I sang I'm The Greatest Star from Funny Girl at my school, does that count as saying I was Fanny Brice?

What is Broadway? A street? Some say it's a street. Some say it is the best street in the world. Others think its terrible. That's the beauty of it, it's terribly beautiful. Some hate it and don't know why. Others love it and don't know why. That's what makes it so wonderful, it's a mystery.

About four years ago, playing Barnaby in Hello, Dolly! There is just something about playing the stupid one. It helped because both I as Barnaby AND our Minnie were blonde. =)

Jonathan---Arsenic and Old Lace (creepiest part I have ever played)
Danny---Grease
Bran Allen---Pillow Talk
Charlie---Brigadoon
Pat Gilbert---State Fair

And of course, Harold Hill---the Music Man

and WORST part ever?

Tony Brokhurst (a.k.a The Boyfriend) IN The Boyfriend.

Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz was my all time favourite.
And Sleeping Beauty. I'm such a fairy tale girl.
Laurie Morton in Brighton Beach Memoirs was a hell of a lot of fun too.
I've got Bianca/ Lois Lane coming up, and I'm SO excited!
Mitzi in Crazy for You and Lulu in Cabaret were also fun, I'm a dancin' girl re: Favorite Roles

WORST---Tinman in 'The Wizard of Oz'

I LOVE the Cowardly Lion and Scarecrow (I've played him too), but I find the Tinman so stale and by far the most boring of the three
