What a night! Kudos to all for such a splendid event!
As a voyeur, I mean, as a writer and editor, I like to keep a low profile. And quietly observe. But some things just HAVE to be said. Eddie Varley, you ARE a full seven course meal! Dessert included. VoiceAnth, those chunky heeled shoes were fabulously effective.
Does anybody know if Corine was there to hear Musto's reference to she and Dollypop? And what did everybody think of Musto's ensemble? I think the salmony pink jacket was exquisite. What did everybody else think? Didjya like it? Is salmony pink the new pink?
And what an honor to be name checked by that comic genius Mr. Marc Shaiman! I sure hope that the vid is linked to this very sight soon, my friends and family will never believe me otherwise!
There are moments when life delivers the "goods" and the world seems "right" and tonite was one of them!
Being able to perform in such AMAZING company was both an honor and a THRILL! Rob and Craig and Jamie have much to be proud of as tonite was truly a BWW triumpth, the spirit of the Board was alive and well for a wonderful cause, and under their sure hand it came off without a hitch!
Oh those voices, those glorious voices, each performer gave everything and then some, and to have so many of our Board "family" cheering them on was so wonderful and exciting, I am still walking on air, truly!
Marc Shaiman's opening video brought down the house in the first two mintues, the work he put into it and AMAZING production values would make Usher run crying to Momma! He really went above and beyond, how lucky we are to have him as "one of us"... And he's a better Voiceanth than VOICEANTH!
Michael Musto and Scott (abs of steel) Nevins were PERFECT as hosts with the most, and kept the crowd connected and excited all evening long!Kim Cea is the funniest woman alive!
The audience was so caring and giving, and to see so many Broadway performers themselves cheering us on was an emotional suprise, Matt Morrison and Euan Morton yelling and clapping after Toxic Audio's dynamic finale was a highlight, there was really a lotta love in the room!
Again I'll say how lucky I felt to be a part of this magical evening of inspiration, humor and song!
Bravo Rob and Craig, THANK YOU for making this THE site on the web to celebrate the PASSION of Broadway!!!!

waaaaahhhhh!! I missed it all!! I was stuck her in Italy, auditioning beautiful young Italian men for a future project I'm sure to create some day...sounds like Eddie Varley is the new "king" Of Broadway!!!
hope my "DAME" impression wasn't too over the top and that you liked my look as VoiceAnth...all looks were created in Ricky's Beauty Supplies during a panicked 5 minutes shopping spree!
I left the identity of the crabby people to your imaginations...
MUCH thanks to my assistant, the Lucious Lucian for his wig choices, especially the "pick-a-little" lady with the side ponytails!
I'm not going to say a word. I shall just sit here and smile.
"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer
"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher
i so wanted to ask him how many of those salmony jackets he has as everytime i've seen him in the last year he's had one on!

They brought out everybody else a second time (well, not Matt Cavenaugh too)...but did they bring EDDIE out for secind wonderful number???? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
'Some 'splainin has to be done!
Oh yeah, and could my timing have sucked harder? I arrived 15 minutes late (thank you, NYC subway system) and so I TOTALLY missed Marc Shaiman's video. As Corrine would say 'It sucks to be me'"!
Everyone was amazing last night and I had a wonderful time off and on stage. And Mark Hartman is some kind of a genius. His sure hand with everything from pure Broadway to musical revue to semi-hard rock was mind-boggling. And Jamie put the whole thing together brilliantly. Kudos to these two superior gents.
No no Namonette- I was not there. Sorry I missed the fantastic Musto. Thank God I missed it. Heard there was an auction for dinner with John Tartaglia and Stephanie and i would have bid bid bid. Dinner with Rod and Katemonster sigh it really does suck to be me! Updated On: 5/24/04 at 09:21 AM
and can i just say how freakin' hot laura bell bundy is. my god. mrs. mambo kept reminding me her name is not laura. pictures do not do this woman credit. i'm still drooling...unfortunately that may have nothing to do with her...

Rob & Craig, Jamie... hope you guys took the day off.. a job well done! There were some beautiful people and voices on that stage...I just wish I recognized more of the songs!
I'm sure there will be plenty of reviews and the camera was rolling as well. Very packed both at the concert and the after party down the street.
Siram Ganesan (Bombay Dreams) captured me with his song. Kim Cea killed me with her Cher/ Barbra and whole schtick...Toxic Audio stole the show at the Finale (I will be calling them!). Eddie was an expected favorite and delivered his goods! Musto & Nevins were royal as hosts.
The after party was equally fun. Packed like sardines. Anthony, it was MY pleasure! Namo, sorry I missed you! Hard to get to everyone. Who else was there that I missed! Robbie j. & jrb nice to see you both! Kris, I enjoyed our chat and I will e-mail you. Eddie! you served cake at my table and I missed you! But I was off meeting Right Said Rick. Let me tell ya .. hang on to this guy. Thank god he doesn't resemble his icon. Tab Hunter/Nick Nolte eat your heart out!
Off to some appts. today. Looking forward to next year!
Well...it was wonderful. And Eddie Varley is, was, and always will be a star of the first, second and third magnitude.
And the afterparty...OOOOOH THE AFTERPARTY!
One shout out needs to go to Broadwaylilhead for his generosity on so many levels (LOVED the gift bags)...even if he doesn't like PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE.
Oh...and Michael Riedel was a delight!
"I'm so looking forward to a time when all the Reagan Democrats are dead."
A prayer has been said for you. Please let us know when you make it back to the USA and are safe!

I'm sorry I didn't get to meet any of you last night except for Rob and Craig. It was nice to meet you!
The place was so dark and I have a very hard time seeing as you know. I was so scared I was was going to fall that I just stayed glued to my seat. I'm also afraid I imposed on Rob and Craigs table--I didn't see or relize until my sight finely adjusted tthat the red cushions were for us to sit on. I hope I wasn't to much of a bother to your guests.
I enjoyed the concert but I didn't know about a party afterwards. Sorry if I missed another chance to meet with most of you.
Well, here I am in NYC at least until Friday. Meeting with someone from another boad today.
I have to say NYC isn't what I thought at all. I'm glad I've seen it but once will be enough for me. I am, I have learned after all, a very country mouse.
It sounds like a great evening, and all in honor of Eddie's Birthday? I really wish I could have been there. Did someone mention a video? Congratulations to all involved.
