talk about leaving an opening!
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

I didn't get to see it...what was the twist?
Did Martin marry Nina VanHorn? Did Daphne have multiple babies?

the show opens with Frasier on a plane headed somewhere and tells his story to Jennifer Beals (playing another shrink)... Martin indeed marries Nina van Horne, Daphne has a baby boy, and Frasier gets offered and subsequently takes a job in San Francisco... Frasier's love, Laura Linney (who didn't want a long-distance relationship), has moved back to Chicago... in the final scene, as Frasier is finishing his story (which basically plays out in the plot of the show), the plane lands, not in San Francisco, but in Chicago...

Uh huh, thus leaving open all kinds of new possibilities should Kelsey Grammer decide in the future to do another show based on the Frasier chacater.

Thanks for the update. I really like the show but haven't seen much of it this season due to theater work. So, I didn't feel too compelled to watch the final epsiode but did wonder how they would end it.

Best part of the show was Robbie Coltrane as Daphne's mumbly brother. Worst part: Jason Biggs as the veterenarian.

Yeah, I definitely saw everything up to the part where he said "Wish me luck." on the plane, then I went downstairs and by the time I went to the living room where my mom was, ER was on.... but I never really watched the show anyway, just wanted to see what happened.

I thought it was a very well written and acted finale. And I don't think the end was done that way to purposely keep things open. But to let you all come to your own conclusion.

Dame - I agree completely.
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

All the knots were tied up, but this wasn't a GREAT finale. It wasn't bad, but other shows like NEWHART and CHEERS had better finales.

Dollypop;
I goess they could have done something clever like have him wake up in bed with Lilith or something. But it wouldn't have been in the shows style. I must say,, Niles with the Monkey had me in stiches.

I was hoping it was all a dream of Eddie's. I enjoyed seeing that portly cuddle bear Anthony Lapaglia's butt crack. Yes, I rewound and slow-moed, rewound and slow moed.

I protested the finale.

I'm very pissed. I wanted Lilith to return for the very end and end up with Frasier.

They belong together. Frith forever, dammit!

re: Frasier Series Finale

And they gave us SUCH false hope with the last episode Bebe guest starred on. Seriously -- their flame never died. *cries*

I'm so disappointed with how it ended.
